In all the world, there’s no place Marisol Montano would rather be than home — wherever that may be.
Marisol got her start at her brother’s real estate company in Chicago, working on the mortgage side of the business and partnering with professionals building homes in Mexico. Being a flight attendant with Malaysia Airlines and traveling the world led to an opportunity to connect and understand diverse people and cultures. Her dream came true when she was designated by Ambassador Ricardo Villanueva to join the Mexican Embassy as a diplomat, and she took care of the embassy finances as well as the official and cultural events. “It was a life-changing experience for me,” she recalls. She cultivated a truly global appreciation and empathy for all the cultures she encountered, and she treated everyone equally and professionally.
Marisol’s international and professional experience converged when she moved to San Antonio. She obtained her Realtor® license despite the language barrier, but she was worried she wouldn’t speak English well enough to sell anything. However, her fears were allayed with her first sale, and soon, more followed. “I work primarily with Mexican business investors, who trust me to add to their investment portfolio and U.S. dollars, and Mexican people looking to move to beautiful Texas,” she says.
When she’s not working, Marisol enjoys swimming, playing tennis, going to the gym, reading, and cooking. She is the proud mom of one young adult son, Maximilian, about whom she can say, “Mission accomplished!” Maximilian is the No. 1 BMW salesperson at his branch and a fantastic human being. In her free time, Marisol is passionate about contributing and raising money for the children in her Mexican hometown, so they may receive clothes, food, and an education.
